Cattle Farming
Cattle farming in Kazo district predominantly involves rearing and management of animals for food requirements like milk and meat. Animals reared include cows(the indigenous long horned Ankole cattle and Friesian cows for diary products), goats, sheep, rabbits, pigs and poultry farming etc.
There is an unending need to improve the milk production to meet the standard requirements. Milk production can be enhanced by increasing this lactation period (the period after the birth of a calf, when a cow starts to produce milk).
But along with increased quantity of milk production, quality must also meet.
